Band prohibits artists from participating in Teleton 2026

The Brazilian television network Band has reportedly decided to veto the participation of its artists in the 29th edition of Teleton, a solidarity campaign organized by SBT in partnership with the Associação de Assistência à Criança Deficiente (AACD).

According to reports, presenters such as Leo Dias and Chris Flores will not participate. While the official justification involves professional scheduling, the decision is being viewed as a continuation of long-standing tensions between Band and SBT. These tensions reportedly date back to 2013 following the departure of Danilo Gentili from Band to SBT.

The Teleton 2026 campaign, themed “O que te move?”, aims to raise R$ 30 million to support services for people with physical disabilities. The event is scheduled for November 6 and 7 and features a lineup of Brazilian artists including Xuxa, Angélica, Eliana, and Maisa.
