Banda Aceh Police Chief Andi Kirana Under Internal Investigation

Police chief of the Banda Aceh precinct, Kombes Pol. Andi Kirana, and the narcotics research chief, AKP Muhammad Jabir, are being examined by the Division of Internal Affairs (Divpropam) at the National Police Headquarters (Mabes Polri) in Jakarta. The investigation is under the authority of the police headquarters, and details have not been disclosed.

Kapolda Aceh, Irjen Pol. Ruddi Setiawan, has appointed Kombes Pol. Teguh Priyambodo Nugroho, head of the Polda Aceh IT department, as acting police chief while the examination proceeds. Polda Aceh spokesperson Kombes Pol. Joko Krisdiyanto urged the public and media to respect the process, refrain from speculation, and assured that police services in the region continue to operate normally.
