Banda Aceh police find no signs of violence in cadet death

Banda Aceh police have confirmed that the death of Muhammad Rasya Fadhillah, a cadet at the Malahayati Maritime Polytechnic (Poltekpel), showed no indications of criminal violence or physical abuse.

Following a report from the family regarding bruises and red rashes on the 18-year-old's body, investigators examined 23 witnesses, including medical personnel, educators, and roommates. Medical examinations and laboratory results indicated that Rasya suffered from severe Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). This condition led to a critical drop in platelet levels and kidney dysfunction.

Doctors explained that the discoloration and bruising on the body were related to the medical condition rather than physical trauma. While a CT scan showed no head bleeding, a definitive cause of death could not be medically finalized because an autopsy was not performed at the request of the family.
