Banda Zé Lourenço performs indigenous Brazilian music at Tomorrowland
Banda Zé Lourenço, a Brazilian indigenous music group, performed at the Tomorrowland electronic music festival in Boom, Belgium. During the festival's second week, the band appeared on the Freedom stage, performing alongside an orchestra to blend traditional instruments and rhythms with symphonic arrangements.
The performance aligned with the festival's theme of “Consciencia,” which focuses on connection, diversity, and collective consciousness. The group's international tour was supported by PROAC, the Cultural Action Program of the Secretariat of Culture, Economy, and Creative Industries of the State of São Paulo.
The appearance marks a significant milestone in the band's nearly two-decade career, aiming to bring the ancestral sounds and cultural diversity of Brazil's indigenous peoples to a global audience.
