Bandai and Alpha Industries announce Gundam collaboration jackets

Bandai Lifestyle Division has announced a new collaboration between the anime ‘Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack’ and the military apparel brand Alpha Industries. The collection features two updated ‘LIGHT MA-1’ flight jacket models inspired by the characters Amuro Ray and Char Aznable.

The jackets are designed for all-season wear with a lightweight, slim silhouette and a refined, low-gloss material. The Amuro Ray model and Char Aznable model are priced at 46,200 yen each and are available in sizes S through 2XL.

Pre-orders will begin on the Premium Bandai official website on August 27, 2026. General sales are scheduled for October 24, 2026, at select STRICT-G retail locations in Japan, including stores in Tokyo Odaiba, Tokyo Solamachi, and service areas in Shizuoka and Taga.
