Bandai announces new Dragon Quest and Tamagotchi merchandise

Bandai has announced several new merchandise releases for its popular franchises.

A second installment of the Dragon Quest series “Bikkura Tamago” bath bombs is scheduled for release on August 11, 2026. These bath bombs feature a new mechanic where the water color changes based on spells, such as turning red for “Mel” or blue for “Hyado”. The collection includes five types of mascots and plates, including a secret “Palpunte” variety.

Additionally, the second series of Tamagotchi Colorful Multi-Charms will launch in the fourth week of August. These Gashapon items feature six different character designs, including Mametchi and Kuchipatchi, with silicone bands that match the mascot colors. The charms are designed to be versatile, functioning as bag accessories or cord organizers.
