Bandai announces Rei Ayanami school uniform plastic model kit

Bandai is accepting pre-orders for a new ‘30 MINUTES PREFERENCE’ (30MP) plastic model kit featuring Rei Ayanami in her school uniform from the ‘Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition’ series.

The kit, priced at 4,620 yen (including tax), includes new facial expression parts and exchangeable components to recreate specific scenes from the anime. Notably, it features parts to simulate a scene where she drinks miso soup made by Shinji Ikari, as well as a school bag and parts for sitting poses.

The model utilizes soft materials for the skirt to capture realistic wrinkles and features the brand's signature articulated joints to allow for various character poses. Shipments are scheduled to begin in January 2027.
