Bandai expands Tamagotchi Paradise in Mexico

Bandai has expanded the Tamagotchi Paradise line in Mexico with the release of two new versions: Isla Tropical and Océano Congelado. Available starting the second week of August 2026, these advanced models feature color screens, new Tama Fields, and a Connection Mini Game function. The new editions allow users to explore unique species through a new zoom function and participate in interactive team-based mini-games, such as hockey and virus-fighting challenges.

This expansion comes as Bandai reports that Tamagotchi has surpassed 100 million units shipped worldwide as of July 31, 2025, with approximately 80 percent of sales originating from international markets. The brand is currently experiencing a “fourth wave” of popularity driven by nostalgia for 1990s and 2000s culture. This trend aligns with broader industry data from Circana, which noted a 7 percent growth in global toy sales in 2025, fueled significantly by adolescents and adults purchasing products associated with their childhood.
