Bandai launches first Gundam Base pop-up tour in Vietnam

Bandai has launched its first Gundam Base Pop-up World Tour in Vietnam, held at the Takashimaya - Saigon Centre in Ho Chi Minh City. The event, running from August 12 to August 23, features limited-edition Gunpla model kits, large-scale Gundam displays, and free model-building activities.

Go Hobby, a brand under GoGo Entertainment (GGE) and the authorized distributor of Bandai products in Vietnam, stated that the pop-up serves as a significant milestone after a decade of local market development. The tour is being used to assess the potential for opening a permanent Gundam Base location in the country.

Representatives from GGE noted that the decision to establish a permanent store will depend on more than just sales figures. The primary objectives include providing Vietnamese consumers with an experience comparable to official Gundam Base locations, fostering the local community, and promoting authorized products to combat counterfeit goods.
