Bandai Namco and D3 Publisher announce first Idolmaster SideM console game

D3 Publisher and Bandai Namco Entertainment have announced the development of the first console game for the ‘The Idolmaster SideM’ series. The title is currently in development for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

Players will act as a ‘Producer’ for 49 idols across 16 units within 315 Production. The game is described as an ‘Idol Produce & Scheduling Adventure’ featuring a completely new story set in the existing series universe. The narrative focuses on a one-year period leading up to a major concert with the concept ‘MMM’.

A key gameplay mechanic allows players to select one of the 16 units as a leader unit, which determines the specific story focus and supporting units. All 49 characters will feature original live costumes designed specifically for this project. While a formal title and release date have not yet been confirmed, a teaser video has been released.
