Bandai Namco announces Ace Combat 8 live-action prequel series
Bandai Namco has announced ‘Hour Zero’, a live-action prequel miniseries designed to introduce new players to the narrative universe of the upcoming game, Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve.
The series stars Josh Holloway, Brandon Routh, and Tamlyn Tomita. The story follows three strangers—a pilot, a doctor, and a news anchor—surviving the initial days of the Republic of Sotoa’s invasion of the Federation of Central Usea. The episodes are designed to be told in reverse order, tracing the characters' lives back to the moment war disrupted their normalcy.
‘Hour Zero’ will consist of four installments, ranging from 6 to 11 minutes each, releasing between September 15 and September 29. The series will stream first on IGN and its YouTube channel before the game’s official launch on October 2. Additionally, the trophy list for Ace Combat 8 has been revealed, featuring 55 total achievements for players on PC and consoles.
