Bandai Namco announces Ondeh Ondeh Kaya’s Tasty Tale

Bandai Namco Entertainment America has announced Ondeh Ondeh Kaya’s Tasty Tale, a new action-adventure game developed by Metronomik. The title is inspired by Southeast Asian cultures, incorporating regional elements of music, cuisine, and heritage.

Players control Kaya, a character on a journey of self-discovery and growth as she seeks to become a ‘World Creator’ like her parents. To achieve this, Kaya must locate various Giants across the world and perform a ‘Ritual of Renewal’ to revitalize the world's flavors. The gameplay integrates exploration, combat, and puzzle-solving with rhythm-based mechanics, where following the beat allows players to navigate environments and enhance abilities.

The game is scheduled for release in 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
