Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters released on consoles and PC

Bandai Namco Entertainment has released Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters, a sequel to Rise of New Champions. Developed by Tamsoft Corporation, the game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

Based on the popular anime and manga series, the title features the ‘Super Action Football’ gameplay style, emphasizing exaggerated, superhuman abilities over realistic simulation. The game follows Tsubasa Ozora and the Japanese national team as they compete in the World Youth Championship against 22 national teams, including Brazil, Argentina, the Netherlands, and Mexico. It also includes various club, high school, and special teams like ‘Real Japan’.

Key features include over 110 playable characters and more than 150 new moves and cinematic sequences. A new gameplay mechanic pits goalkeepers directly against attackers in dramatic duels. The story mode was developed under the supervision of series creator Yoichi Takahashi. The game is offered in Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate editions.
