Bandai Namco unveils gameplay for Gundam Rogue Orbit

Bandai Namco has released new gameplay footage and details for Gundam Rogue Orbit, an upcoming high-mobility action game scheduled for release on March 5, 2027. The title will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Set in an entirely new, standalone timeline within the Gundam universe, the game follows pilot RE-X as he operates the Gundam Helix to defend humanity against a mysterious threat known as the Apocalypse. The narrative is designed to be accessible to newcomers while offering fresh content for longtime fans. The game is also linked to the upcoming anime series, Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO.

Gameplay features emphasize fast-paced, aggressive melee combat and deep customization. Players can modify the Gundam Helix’s weapons, frame, skills, and color schemes, though generator limitations affect total performance. Missions involve deploying from the Stellarvane service craft to combat environments such as Mars. Combat includes specialized mechanics like the Over-Rise system for performance boosts and tactical boss fights where players can target specific enemy weak points.
