Digimon Story: Time Stranger launches worldwide on Nintendo Switch 2

Bandai Namco announced that the JRPG Digimon Story Time Stranger will be released worldwide on 10 July 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, with simultaneous versions for the original Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Developed by Media Vision Inc., the game features over 450 Digimon, a time‑travel storyline in which players, as agents of the ADAMAS organization, must prevent the collapse of both the human and digital worlds.

The Switch 2 version offers two graphic modes: a Quality mode up to 4K HDR at 30 fps (dock) or Full HD at 30 fps (handheld), and a Performance mode delivering Full HD at up to 60 fps. A free cross‑platform update adds a Graphics mode selector, a Photo mode, a new playable character “Terriermon Assistant,” and Digifarm UI improvements that show Digievolution conditions directly in the menu.

In parallel, the PC version of Digimon Story Time Stranger, released on Steam in October 2025, is being offered at a 43 % discount (price €39.89) through the Steam Summer Sale until 16 July. The promotion provides an additional entry point for players on PC.

The launch is accompanied by a trailer and live‑action promotional material released in Japan on 9 July 2026, marking the first appearance of the title on the new Nintendo console generation.
