Bandai Namco's Ace Combat 8 reaches 1 million copies sold

Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve has surpassed 1 million units sold worldwide, marking the fastest sales milestone in the 30-year history of the franchise. The game entered early access on September 29, 2026, followed by a global launch on October 2.

Developed by Bandai Namco Studios and Bandai Namco Aces, the title is the first mainline entry in the series in seven years. It features the largest multiplayer experience in the franchise's history, including a virtual Air Base social lobby that can host up to 100 players simultaneously. The game utilizes the Cloudly rendering engine to produce expansive sky environments.

With these sales, cumulative shipments for the Ace Combat series have exceeded 22 million units. The game is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
