Bandai Namco's Gundam Summer Event 2026 to be held in Mexico City

Bandai Namco will host the third edition of the Gundam Summer Event 2026 in Mexico City from August 21 to 23. The free‑entry festival takes place at the historic Frontón Bucareli and is expected to attract more than six thousand fans from across Mexico.

The weekend program includes exclusive GUNPLA model kits, live‑streamed presentations, competitive activities, and a variety of food and drink stalls. Workshops on model assembly run from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and numerous Gashapon capsules will feature series such as Mobile Suit Gundam Still Waiting for You 4. A special collaboration with the Gundam × Hatsune Miku project will also be showcased.

Organizers note that while admission is free, entry may be limited once capacity is reached, so early arrival is recommended. The event underscores the growing popularity of Japanese anime and collectible culture in Latin America.
