Bandai Namco's The Blood of Dawnwalker gameplay video released ahead of Sep 3 launch

IGN posted an exclusive eight‑minute gameplay video of the open‑world action‑RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker, showing the opening quest “Deep Down”. The footage follows the protagonist Coen as a human exploring a damp underground ruin, uncovering clues through an investigation system, and battling the boss “The Forgotten Guardian”.

The game is developed by Rebel Wolves, a studio of former CD Projekt Red staff led by ex‑Witcher 3 director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, and will be published by Bandai Namco. Built with Unreal Engine 5, it is set in 14th‑century Europe ravaged by the Black Death, where Coen shifts between human and vampire forms. The title is slated for release on September 3, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with pre‑orders offering a collectible armor set.
