Bandırma 17 Eylül Stadium to receive specialized night lighting

The lighting project for Bandırma 17 Eylül Stadium has reached a critical stage, enabling Bandırmaspor to host night matches. AK Party Balıkesir Deputy Ali Taylan Öztaylan announced that the necessary coordination with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of National Defense has been completed.

Due to the stadium's proximity to a military airport, the lighting system was specifically designed to ensure flight safety. The project received approval from the Ministry of National Defense, ensuring that the lights will not interfere with aircraft visibility or military airfield operations. The system will utilize advanced LED technology, meeting TFF and UEFA B Level lighting criteria.

Instead of traditional high single masts, the design features 12 specialized 25-meter poles, with three located at each corner. This configuration aims to distribute light homogeneously across the pitch while minimizing vertical light spill that could impact flight paths. The infrastructure work includes foundation excavations, underground energy lines, and an automation system controlled from a broadcast room.
