Bandırma medical institutions host advanced urological surgical training

Bandırma Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi and Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University successfully conducted two significant scientific training sessions on October 2-3, 2026.

The first session involved live surgical training for penile prosthesis application and posterior urethroplasty at the hospital. The second session focused on advanced urological surgery training using fresh male cadavers at the Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Faculty of Medicine Anatomy Laboratory.

Prof. Dr. Aykut Başer, Head of the Urology Department, noted that the consecutive organization of live surgery and fresh cadaver training demonstrates strong teamwork and cooperation between the university and the hospital. Approximately 20 medical professionals from various regions, including Adana, Ankara, Konya, Muğla, Denizli, and Tekirdağ, participated in the events.
