Bandung Immigration strengthens digital services to prevent human trafficking
The Bandung Immigration Office is strengthening its digital-based immigration services to support the acceleration program of the Ministry of Immigration and Correctional Affairs. This strategic move aims to improve the speed, efficiency, and transparency of passport services for the public.
In addition to improving public service, the digitalization of the system is intended to enhance supervision and serve as a preventative measure against human trafficking (TPPO). By integrating data and utilizing digital profiling for passport applicants, authorities aim to detect potential irregular departures of Indonesian migrant workers at an early stage. This initiative is being coordinated in collaboration with the West Java Provincial Government.
