Bandung prepares for 216th anniversary celebrations

The city of Bandung is preparing for its 216th anniversary (HJKB) celebrations. A plenary session is scheduled to take place at the Bandung City DPRD Building on Friday, September 25, 2026.

To ensure the event proceeds safely, security measures have been tightened. The coordination involves the Bandung City Police, the Koramil, Satpol PP, and internal security personnel. Secretary of the Bandung City DPRD, Yasa Hanafiah, confirmed that technical preparations and final rehearsals have been completed.

The anniversary program includes a procession where the Mayor of Bandung and other officials will travel from City Hall to the DPRD Building using 'Bandros,' a traditional Bandung vehicle. Expected attendees include West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi and various regional heads from across West Java.
