Indonesia police investigate multiple violent crimes and murders

Police in Indonesia are investigating several violent incidents across different regions. In Bandung, a suspect identified as SDS (31) was arrested after the body of Siti Maemunah (41) was discovered wrapped in a cardboard box. A delivery driver reported becoming suspicious due to a strong odor emanating from the package, which the suspect claimed contained clothing and iron.

In Demak, Central Java, authorities arrested a 53-year-old man, BI, for the murder of a woman identified as SL (42). Forensic evidence suggests the victim was struck with a blunt object and a sharp weapon before being burned at a security post. The motive is believed to be related to a romantic relationship.

Other reported incidents include the death of Bambang Setiawan following a demonstration at the DPR RI, where investigators have released facial sketches of two suspects based on CCTV analysis. In Garut, a 75-year-old man, Eman Sutaryat, died after being allegedly attacked with a large stone, leading to the arrest of a 28-year-old suspect. Additionally, a man was found dead in a PLN substation near the Pancoran LRT station in Jakarta, suspected to have been electrocuted while attempting to steal cables.
