Dangdut Academy 8 finalists impress judges as competition reaches final audition stage

Six contestants have advanced to the final audition of Indonesia’s televised dangdang talent show Dangdut Academy 8. Among them are Anisa Syakila from Ogan Komering Ilir, who says her main goal is to make her parents proud, and Melani from Sidrap, both seeking to turn childhood dreams into professional singing careers.

The show’s judges highlighted Bhita, a contestant from Pangkal Pinang, for her powerful vocals and commanding stage presence. Judge Nassar even lifted his chair in admiration, while Soimah, Lesti and Gilang Dirga praised her clear phrasing, breath control and confident expression, noting only minor pitch issues in the song’s coda.

Other participants, such as Kani inspired by the previous season, and the broader group of six finalists, are now preparing for the next round, hoping to secure a spot in the competition’s final stages.
