Malaysia police arrest suspects in Penang brawl and Ipoh machete attack

Police in Malaysia have arrested multiple suspects following a series of violent incidents. In Air Itam, Penang, 10 additional men were detained, bringing the total number of arrests to 23 in connection with an armed brawl that occurred on August 29. The incident, reportedly stemming from a debt dispute, involved weapons and a vehicle ramming.

In a separate incident in Ipoh, Perak, 11 men were detained to assist in an investigation after a 26-year-old man was seriously injured in a machete attack. Police believe the attack, which occurred in Taman Pengkalan Jaya, was motivated by revenge from an organized crime group. The victim sustained injuries to his face, hands, legs, and back after attempting to escape into the Kinta River.
