Bane Jelić discusses virtuosity and collaborations with world-class guitarists

Guitarist Bane Jelić has recently performed alongside world-renowned musicians Steve Vai and Michael Angelo Batio. Following a performance with Batio, where Jelić played ‘Bumbarov let’ at a tempo of 340 BPM, Batio praised his skill, stating, “You sound great! You are an excellent guitarist!”

Jelić, who also engages in painting and literature, emphasizes that virtuosity involves more than technical speed, focusing instead on composition and emotional depth. He describes instrumental music as being for those with “refined taste and sensibility.”

As part of the ongoing promotion for his album ‘Illuminations’, Jelić recently released a music video for the composition ‘Blooming Hearts’. He plans to produce a total of seven additional music videos to provide visual accompaniment for every track on the album.
