Bane NOR announces Dovre Line maintenance and closures

Bane NOR has announced extensive maintenance, renewal, and emergency preparedness exercises on the Dovre Line between Eidsvoll and Trondheim, scheduled from September 26 to September 30.

Work includes condition monitoring, preventive maintenance, ballast and sleeper replacement, culvert changes, landslide protection, and renewal of overhead line systems. Additionally, construction continues on the double-track expansion through Stange municipality, with the Tangenvika railway bridge expected to reach the Espa side during this period.

Due to the closures, replacement bus services will be provided for train traffic on the Dovre Line, the Raumabanen, and between Hamar and Elverum. On September 26, a full-scale emergency preparedness exercise will also be conducted in Rosten, Innlandet. Travelers are advised to monitor transit apps, as potential ongoing driver strikes could further impact schedules.
