Banes Motor České Budějovice defeats Red Bull Salzburg 5-1

Banes Motor České Budějovice secured a decisive 5-1 victory over EC Red Bull Salzburg in a preseason ice hockey match held at the Budvar Arena. After a scoreless first period, Salzburg took an early lead in the second, but Motor responded through two goals from Latvian player Krastenbergs to equalize.

Motor dominated the third period, scoring three additional goals via Lantoši, Pour, and Vála to seal the win. The match featured several lineup changes for the Czech side, including the debut of Canadian player Bell and several junior players due to injuries.

Assistant coach David Vrbata noted that while the performance was encouraging, the team is still in the preparation phase and needs to refine their play before the Extraliga season begins. Following the game, the coaching staff and sports manager Václav Nedorost met with fans to introduce the new players and discuss the upcoming season.
