Bang & Olufsen to host design exhibition at Matsuya Ginza
Bang & Olufsen will host the 800th Design Gallery 1953 special exhibition, titled ‘Bang & Olufsen’s Design and Craftsmanship,’ at Matsuya Ginza in Tokyo starting September 9, 2026. The exhibition celebrates the Danish audio-visual brand’s 100th anniversary, tracing its history from its 1925 founding in Struer to its current and future innovations.
The showcase will feature iconic historical products, the brand’s signature aluminum processing techniques, and its sustainability initiatives, such as the ‘Cradle to Cradle’ approach. It will also highlight the ‘Atelier’ customization program launched in 2025.
Prior to the exhibition, a limited-edition store will open on the 7th floor of Matsuya Ginza on August 28, 2026. This store will offer flagship speakers and the latest audio-visual products, alongside the ‘Atelier Bespoke’ service, which allows customers to customize products using over 500,000 detail combinations.
