Bangkalan Regency provides aid to students victimized by religious figure

The Bangkalan Regency Government is providing psychological assistance to four underage students who were victims of sexual harassment by a religious figure at an Islamic boarding school.

Sudiyo, Head of the Bangkalan Office for Family Planning, Women's Empowerment, and Child Protection (DKBP3A), stated that the victims are experiencing mental health issues following the incidents. To support their recovery, the local government has brought in two specialized psychologists to provide assistance both at the victims' homes and during police examinations. Additionally, the government is covering the costs for medical examinations (visum) and providing access to safe houses.
