Bangkok driver arrested for drunk driving after motorcycle collision
A woman was arrested in the Bueng Kum district of Bangkok for drunk driving after a collision involving a motorcycle. Traffic police officers pursued a grey sedan that had been playing loud music before stopping it at a red light.
During the encounter, officers observed beer containers inside the vehicle. A motorcyclist reported that the sedan had crashed into the rear of his motorcycle, resulting in injuries to his girlfriend. Although the driver denied involvement in the accident, she was taken to a police station for testing.
During the alcohol test, the driver initially attempted to suck on the breathalyzer rather than blow into it and accused officers of attempting to falsely charge her. A subsequent correct test revealed an alcohol level of 240 milligrams per 100 milliliters of blood, nearly five times the legal limit of 50 milligrams. Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage as part of their investigation.
