Bangkok floods impact Indonesian citizens

Flooding has impacted several areas in Bangkok, Thailand, affecting approximately 36 roads with water levels exceeding 15 centimeters. One Indonesian citizen was reported trapped in a hotel due to flooded access roads, but the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Bangkok has confirmed the individual is safe.

The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is monitoring the situation for the approximately 2,500 Indonesian citizens residing in Thailand, including those in the Bangkok metropolitan area. The KBRI Bangkok has established a hotline to provide consular assistance and emergency support to any citizens affected by the weather.

According to the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), the risk of heavy rain is expected to decrease between September 29 and 30, with weather conditions projected to improve following that period.
