Bangkok named world's best city for nightlife in 2026
Bangkok has been named the world’s best city for nightlife in 2026, according to a new ranking by Time Out. The study surveyed over 24,000 residents across 150 cities, evaluating factors such as atmosphere, variety, safety, and affordability.
Bangkok secured the top spot due to its diverse offerings, ranging from rooftop bars and cocktail lounges to street food and a vibrant LGBTQ+ scene. Approximately 73% of local residents rated their city's nightlife as good or incredible.
Berlin followed in second place, recognized as the top European city for its legendary clubbing and electronic music scene. New York City ranked third, noted for its constantly evolving entertainment landscape. The top five was completed by Melbourne and São Paulo.
Other notable cities in the top ten include Medellin, Johannesburg, Brighton, Beijing, and Amsterdam. Brighton was specifically highlighted for its strong sense of community, with 84% of residents finding it easy to meet new people.
