Bangladesh Cricket Board and Robi launch Bowler Hunt

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Robi are launching the ‘Robi Bowler Hunt’ to identify new bowling talent across the country. This edition of the talent hunt aims to find both pace bowlers and spinners, with a new inclusion allowing female cricketers to participate.

The selection process is scheduled to begin on September 27, with trials held at eight venues across Bangladesh, including Dhaka, Sylhet, Khulna, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Chattogram. Trials for players from Barisal will be conducted in Khulna.

To ensure high-quality scouting, the panel of judges will include former Pakistan leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed, former West Indies pacer Corrie Collymore, and Bangladesh High Performance Squad head coach Salahuddin, alongside other national team coaches. Selected bowlers will receive modern training and regular care to prepare them for the national team pipeline. Previous iterations of this program successfully identified national players such as Ebadot Hossain and Rishad Hossain.
