Bangladesh cricket team targets Asian Games gold

Bangladesh T20I captain Litton Das expressed optimism regarding the men's cricket team's preparation for the 2026 Asian Games. Speaking at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Das noted that the squad is embracing the opportunity to compete in a rare multi-sport event, viewing it as a ‘bigger dream’ rather than a source of pressure.

The team has been training under coach Mohammad Salahuddin and recently completed two practice matches to build team cohesion. During the second practice session, Saif Hassan scored 77 off 52 balls, Mosaddek Hossain struck 46 off 22, and Mustafizur Rahman took three wickets for 15 runs.

Bangladesh aims to replicate the success of the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games, where the men's cricket team secured their only gold medal in the event's history.
