Bangladesh football team faces Singapore in FIFA ASEAN Cup

The Bangladesh national football team is set to face Singapore in a FIFA ASEAN Cup Group A match on Monday at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia. Following a 3-0 defeat to Malaysia in their opening match, Bangladesh aims to secure their first points of the tournament.

Singapore also enters the match seeking recovery after losing 2-0 to host nation Indonesia. For Bangladesh, coach Thomas Dullemond faces the challenge of improving defensive coordination and neutralizing Singapore's attack, led by captain Haris Harun and forward Ilhan Fandi. Key roles in the midfield will be played by Hamza Chowdhury and captain Jamal Bhuyan.

Midfielder Samit Som expressed a strong desire for redemption, noting that Bangladesh has lost both of its encounters against Singapore over the past year. Som stated that the team has learned from previous performances and is focused on improving their defensive sharpness and clinical finishing to secure a positive result.
