Bangladesh government marks 180 days in office

Officials from the Prime Minister’s Office in Bangladesh held a meeting to mark 180 days since the current government assumed office. Prime Minister’s Adviser and spokesperson Mahdi Amin stated that while resolving all national issues within six months is difficult, the administration has demonstrated high levels of sincerity and commitment to rebuilding the country.

Prime Minister’s Press Secretary AAM Saleh Shibly described the establishment of state and citizen dignity as a major achievement of the administration. He noted that the government of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has begun systematically implementing points from its election manifesto. Shibly characterized the current political shift as a move toward a welfare state guided by the principle of ‘Bangladesh first, Bangladesh for all.’
