Bangladesh grade eleven classes commence for 2026-27 session

Classes for students enrolled in the 2026-27 academic year for grade eleven began on Thursday, September 24. The start date was pushed back one day from the original September 23 schedule due to the public holiday for Fateha-i-Yazdahum.

In the first phase of admissions, 995,234 students applied, with 980,815 receiving nominations for college placement. Under the current admission policy, 93 percent of seats are allocated based on merit using SSC or equivalent exam results. The remaining 7 percent includes a 5 percent quota for children of freedom fighters and a 2 percent quota for children of Ministry of Education employees, a policy applicable only to this academic year.

Students who did not receive a nomination in the first phase, did not apply, or failed to complete the enrollment process can apply for the second phase. Online applications for the second phase will run from September 27 to September 28. Results are expected on October 1, with final enrollment activities scheduled for October 5 to October 7.
