The Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2026 has commenced in Dhaka, featuring representatives from 20 countries. Organized by the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB), the three-day event is held under the theme ‘AI Powered Tourism, Sustainable Destination’. The fair aims to promote the use of artificial intelligence and modern technology in the tourism sector while encouraging eco-friendly travel practices.
More than 220 exhibitors are participating across over 200 booths and stalls. Expected attendance includes 2,500 trade visitors and 60,000 general visitors. Participating nations include India, Singapore, Maldives, Turkey, China, Saudi Arabia, and several others. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Nurunnahar Chowdhury, Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
Separately, Ethiopian Airlines has announced a 10 percent fare discount for travel agents in observance of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The promotion, valid for ticket issuance between November 26 and 28, applies to travel occurring between November 26, 2026, and May 31, 2027, excluding peak travel seasons. The discount is available through the Global Distribution System (GDS) on specific routes, though the airline has not yet specified which routes are included.
