Bangladesh PM Rahman's India visit spurs optimism from Indian High Commissioner

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Tripathi said the recent visit of Bangladesh Prime Minister Tariq Rahman to India will help deepen bilateral ties. He described the meeting as “positive” and expressed confidence that remaining issues can be resolved through dialogue.

Tripathi added that Bangladesh is eager to welcome its prime minister in India again soon, and both sides discussed strengthening cooperation across a range of topics.

Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman and State Minister Shama Obeid Islam also met with Tripathi, reiterating the desire for a constructive partnership between the two neighboring democracies.
