Bangladesh police reshuffle involves multiple high-ranking officials

Bangladesh has implemented a significant reshuffle of its police force, involving the transfer and posting of numerous high-ranking officials. According to notifications issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) headquarters, the changes affect various levels of command, including Deputy Inspectors General (DIG), Superintendents of Police (SP), and Additional Superintendents of Police (ASP).

Key transfers include the appointment of new SPs in districts such as Madaripur, Narayanganj, and Pirojpur. Additionally, several officers within the DMP have been reassigned to different specialized departments, including the Diplomatic Security Division, the Traffic and Driving College, and various detective branches. These administrative adjustments are part of a broader restructuring of personnel across different police units and regional commands.
