Bangladesh prepares for Asian Games cricket quarter-final against Malaysia
Bangladesh is set to face Malaysia in a cricket quarter-final match at the Asian Games. Despite Bangladesh holding a significantly higher international T20 ranking (8th compared to Malaysia's 25th), head coach Mohammad Salah Uddin has urged the team to remain cautious.
Speaking in Japan, the coach emphasized that the knockout stage brings immense pressure and warned against underestimating the opponent. He noted that any lapse in concentration could result in elimination from the tournament. The two teams previously met in the 2023 Asian Games quarter-finals, where Bangladesh secured a narrow 2-run victory. The upcoming match is scheduled to take place at the Nishinomiya Corogi Sports Club.
