Bangladesh PSC to recruit 5,000 doctors via 51st Special BCS

The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced a recruitment drive for 5,000 medical professionals through the 51st Special BCS Examination 2026. The vacancies include 4,700 assistant surgeons and 300 assistant dental surgeons to fill positions within the health cadre.

Candidates must hold an MBBS, BDS, or an equivalent degree. The online application window opens at 10:00 AM on October 1 and closes at 6:00 PM on October 25. Applicants must be between 21 and 32 years of age as of September 1, 2026.

The selection process will consist of a 200-mark written examination and a 100-mark viva voce, totaling 300 marks. For the written portion, 0.50 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Candidates with foreign degrees are required to provide an equivalence certificate from the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) during the viva voce.
