Bangladesh warns of stormy conditions in Dhaka and nine other districts

On July 24, Bangladesh's Meteorological Department forecast temporary squally winds of up to 60 km/h with rain and thunderstorms across ten divisions: Dhaka, Faridpur, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet. River ports in these areas were instructed to display level‑1 warning signals. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is possible in parts of Khulna, Barisal and Chattogram. In Dhaka, temperatures were expected to range from about 25 °C to 31 °C with humidity near 98 %. The forecast also noted a slight decrease in daytime temperatures nationwide, while night temperatures remain largely unchanged.
