Bangladesh weather: Low pressure expected in Bay of Bengal

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecasted a potential low-pressure system to form in the northern Bay of Bengal within the next 24 hours. This development is expected to bring light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, across various parts of the country over the next five days. Some areas may experience moderately heavy rainfall.

While rain is expected in most divisions, including Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Sylhet, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram, temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged. The current monsoon activity is described as less active over Bangladesh, with its axis extending from Rajasthan through West Bengal and northern Bangladesh to Assam.

In Dhaka and surrounding areas, skies may remain temporarily cloudy with winds blowing from the south or southeast at 10 to 15 km/h. Despite the intermittent rain, high temperatures and humid conditions are expected to persist across the country.
