Bangladesh women defeat Indonesia by 71 runs in Asia Cup opener
The Bangladesh women's cricket team secured a 71-run victory against Indonesia in their opening match of the Women's Asia Cup at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. After electing to bat first, Bangladesh posted a total of 129 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their 20 overs. Sobhana Mostary led the scoring with 40 runs off 42 balls, while Swarna Akter remained unbeaten on 31 from 18 deliveries.
In response, the Indonesian side struggled against the Bangladeshi bowling attack, being bowled out for 58 runs in 17.3 overs. Nahida Akter earned player-of-the-match honors after taking 3 wickets for 15 runs in her four overs.
