Bangladeshi child killed in gas explosion near Paris

A gas explosion in the suburb of Overyville, near Paris, caused a residential building to partially collapse on Saturday night. The incident resulted in the death of a young Bangladeshi child named Nahil and left seven others injured, two of whom are reported to be in critical condition.

Preliminary investigations by French authorities suggest the explosion may have been caused by a gas leak. A judicial investigation has been launched by the Bobigny prosecutor's office to determine the exact cause. Emergency responders, including approximately 110 firefighters and specialized rescue teams, worked for hours to clear the debris.

The Bangladeshi Embassy in France confirmed the death of the child and stated that a delegation led by Second Secretary Sharhad Shakil is visiting the site to coordinate with local administration and support the affected families. The local mayor has arranged temporary shelter in a municipal building and a stadium dressing room for those displaced by the collapse.
