Banja Luka court official injured in Jahorina vehicle incident

An official from the Basic Court in Banja Luka was injured on Tuesday night on Jahorina after being struck by a vehicle. The incident occurred around midnight during a consultation meeting of the Association of Judges of Republika Srpska.

Reports indicate the driver, also an employee of the same court, was tested positive for alcohol, with levels exceeding one gram per kilogram of blood. While the driver claimed she thought she had struck an obstacle, the East Sarajevo Prosecutor's Office is investigating the event, currently qualifying it as failure to provide assistance to an injured person in a traffic accident.

The victim's husband has alleged the incident was an attempted murder, suggesting the collision was intentional. However, authorities have not confirmed this classification. The President of the Basic Court in Banja Luka, Biljana Radulović, stated that the victim is doing well and does not have serious injuries, noting that competent authorities will determine all circumstances through the ongoing investigation.
