Banja Luka court reinstates Gas-Res director Momčilo Antonić

The Basic Court in Banja Luka has overturned the dismissal of Momčilo Antonić, the former director of the public enterprise Gas-Res. The court ruled that the decision to remove him was illegal in both material and formal respects.

According to the verdict, the Supervisory Board failed to provide specific or valid reasons for the dismissal, merely citing legal provisions regarding their authority to remove management members. The court also noted that the decision lacked the necessary justification required by the Labor Law.

As a result, Gas-Res has been ordered to reinstate Antonić to his position, or to another role matching his professional qualifications, within 15 days of receiving the verdict. Additionally, the company must pay him more than 140,000 marks in lost wages. Milan Baštinac, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, confirmed receipt of the non-final ruling and stated the board will decide whether to appeal to a higher court or comply with the decision.
