Banja Luka memoir ‘(Ne)obični ljudi’ published by Severin Rakić

Severin Rakić has released a new book titled ‘(Ne)obični ljudi’ (Unusual People), which serves as a memoir of his life in Banja Luka during the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. The work aims to document the lives of the city's residents during those decades, capturing the social and cultural essence of the period.

The book features illustrations by Izeta Štaljo Rakić and graphic design assistance from Nemanja Mičević of the Museum of Modern Art in Banja Luka. Rakić describes the project as a search for lost roots rather than mere nostalgia, focusing on the cosmopolitan characters who shaped the city's history.
